YOUR GARDEN ROOM IS ONE EMAIL AWAY
How do we build our garden rooms?
All of our garden rooms are fully insulated, have a rubber roof, either timber, composite or sheet metal cladding, are connected to the mains electricity and internet in your house and can come with a range of options from underfloor heating, birch ply lining, plastered and painted and with either aluminium or uPVC double glazed windows and doors. They are very warm and cozy environments (not to be mistaken for sheds or log cabins) and are suitable for home offices, games/cinema rooms, home gym, sleep over space or however else you choose to enjoy your home away from home.
Every design is bespoke to your needs and size requirements but we keep our costs down, starting at just £9,000 for a basic 2.4mx2.4m garden room.
Our garden rooms start at £1,400/m2
Our annexes (fully habitable) start at £2,200/m2

There are two main options for your foundations and two main options for your structure.

FOUNDATIONS
Ground Screws or Concrete Slab

-
Ground Screws - By far the most environmentally friendly method, this innovative foundation method is incredibly fast to install, can easily be tailored to your ground conditions, allows air flow under your structure and does not require any digging or any concrete. Ground screws can also be removed, leaving any piece of land exactly as it was before installation.
-
Concrete Slab - The age old foundation solution, concrete provides a permanent foundation that requires extensive work to level and dig an area of ground. A concrete slab can provide a uniform base to build straight off of but at the end of it's life, cannot be removed and re-used. Depending on the size and access to a site, a concrete slab can sometimes be a cheaper option.
If you already have an existing foundation, for example an old concrete garage floor, we can likely reuse that and use adjustable pedestals.

STRUCTURE
SIPS or Timber Frame

-
SIPS (or Structurally Insulated Panels) are slowly becoming more and more popular in the UK due to their incredibly fast construction, incredibly high thermal efficiency and air tightness and ease of construction, this building technique provides the structure and insulation, with very minimal thermal bridging) in one package. The floors, walls and roof can all be built with SIPS (helping maintain permitted development height restrictions and removes the complications that come with timber framed cold and warm roofs). A typical 5mx3m SIPS building can be watertight with roof covering and windows & doors in just 2 weeks and requires at least 2 people to build. SIPS have been used for many decades in Scandinavia and the USA and is on the rise in the UK.

-
Traditional timber framing is a great construction technique that provides a budget friendly option over the SIPS but can take slightly longer to build and is difficult to achieve the same air tightness and thermal efficiency for comparable wall thicknesses. However, timber framing is a great option and maintains straight forward build-ability (only requiring 1 person) and quick construction.

OUR PROCESS FOR DELIVERING YOUR GARDEN ROOM IS SIMPLE
-
Give us a call or drop us an email to discuss what you want for your garden room. Whether you’ve been dreaming of a home office, gym, sauna, or even a self-contained annexe with a bathroom and kitchen, we can help!
-
Our in-house Chartered Architect or Engineer will visit the site to provide you with a free site survey, 3D design, and an estimate based on your needs and preferences. At this stage, we can recommend the best construction method for the foundation (ground screws or concrete slab) and the most suitable type of structure (SIPS or timber frame)
-
Once you're happy with the design and we agree on the fixed cost, we’ll schedule your start date and order the materials.

This is your opportunity to meet us for the first time.
We will photograph your garden or site and conduct a 3D survey along with a dimensional analysis.
You can share your vision for the space, and we’ll discuss the construction methods and timescales that best suit your needs.
SURVEY

Alongside the final design presentation, we will provide you with an estimate and a suggested start date.
We strive to be as transparent as possible with our estimates. Since everything is done in-house, we don’t have costly overheads from design teams, administrative staff, or expensive advertising. There will be no hidden extras.
ESTIMATE

After discussing your needs, we will design your ideal space and welcome any feedback before preparing a detailed estimate.
We will provide you with a slideshow of the complete project, including 3D visualizations of both the interior and exterior, and work closely with you to refine the details.
